After some careless play in the Redchiaps FC defense, Heriberto Fay kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelo Marsilio. The Redchiaps FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelo Marsilio should have stopped the shot. 9 minutes into the match, Redchiaps FC's goal looked a bit too open when Merle Wilhelm came free, but Angelo Marsilio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Redchiaps FC's Francesco Ceccarelli got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Redchiaps FC defense, Jeff Ott kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelo Marsilio. The Redchiaps FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelo Marsilio should have stopped the shot. Francesco Ceccarelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donovan Overton having to interfere. Ciro Antognoni hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After 35 minutes of play, FC Figari's Heriberto Fay made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Angelo Marsilio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Francesco Ceccarelli received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Donovan Overton came out and tried to block the shot, but Francesco Ceccarelli slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 38th minute. Angelo Marsilio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Merle Wilhelm, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 42nd match minute, Redchiaps FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Brillante to maneuver through the defense. 44 minutes into the match, Redchiaps FC's goal looked a bit too open when Heriberto Fay came free, but Angelo Marsilio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Redchiaps FC's Francesco Ceccarelli got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francesco Ceccarelli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Heriberto Fay kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Angelo Marsilio. That made the score 1-5 in the 51 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Redchiaps FC's Ciro Antognoni got a free kick in the 54th minute. Ross Herman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Redchiaps FC's Angelo Marsilio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Redchiaps FC from getting a goal against them. Angelo Marsilio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Merle Wilhelm in the 60th minute. Angelo Marsilio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejandro Toney in the 61st minute of the match. 63 minutes into the game, FC Figari's Merle Wilhelm nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelo Marsilio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. After 66 minutes of play, FC Figari's Jeff Ott made it 1-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Angelo Marsilio was left in no man's land by his defense there! 71 minutes into the game, Merle Wilhelm recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Angelo Marsilio. Merle Wilhelm showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-8. 76 minutes into the match, Redchiaps FC's goal looked a bit too open when Heriberto Fay came free, but Angelo Marsilio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donovan Overton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Ceccarelli in the 78th minute of play. Alejandro Toney's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Angelo Marsilio firmly grabbed it by the left post. Redchiaps FC's Angelo Marsilio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Redchiaps FC from getting a goal against them. In the 88th match minute, Redchiaps FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Brillante to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leif Shaw during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th play minute Merle Wilhelm came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Angelo Marsilio. 1-9. The Redchiaps FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Figari were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
