SUTURA FC's Anastasio Mederi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mons Herdlevær in the 10th minute of play. Lorenzo Baleren struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Christer Bjørdal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SUTURA FC. Christer Bjørdal was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Fulgencio Elizardo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fulgencio Elizardo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. A hard shot by Silvio Mosen from long distance, 20 minutes into the match, got Christer Bjørdal's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Sandnes FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fulgencio Elizardo 23 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Jonathan Romundstad's late challenge caught a SUTURA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Romundstad helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sandnes FC's Jonathan Romundstad got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute Fulgencio Elizardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christer Bjørdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Fulgencio Elizardo sped through Sandnes FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Christer Bjørdal. With an all-out effort, SUTURA FC's Christer Bjørdal threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fulgencio Elizardo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 43 minutes into the match, SUTURA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Romundstad came free, but Anastasio Mederi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christer Bjørdal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Elizardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonathan Romundstad to make the kick off. With a little luck, SUTURA FC's Anastasio Mederi got control of the ball when Arnt Oen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fulgencio Elizardo spun around in front of the goal 54 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Sandnes FC's goal. If Fulgencio Elizardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the SUTURA FC defense, Arnt Oen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anastasio Mederi. The SUTURA FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anastasio Mederi should have stopped the shot. SUTURA FC's Lorenzo Baleren got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sandnes FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fulgencio Elizardo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SUTURA FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sandnes FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
