In the 14th minute, FC Figari's Dave Hatch dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Jonathan Romundstad took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donovan Overton. Donovan Overton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Heriberto Fay could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Christer Bjørdal made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Romundstad in the 29th minute of play forced FC Figari's goalkeeper Donovan Overton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roy Lyssand charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roy Lyssand the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Heriberto Fay scored 3-3 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christer Bjørdal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonathan Romundstad to make the kick off. Christer Bjørdal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heriberto Fay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Figari's goalkeeper Donovan Overton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 53rd match minute, FC Figari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeff Ott to maneuver through the defense. Arnt Oen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christian Oskarsen charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a defensive mix-up in Sandnes FC's zone, Dave Hatch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christer Bjørdal came out of the goal and Dave Hatch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Scot Carlisle took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christer Bjørdal. Christer Bjørdal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-4. Sandnes FC's Jonathan Romundstad got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Christer Bjørdal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dave Hatch went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-4 was the resulting score.
