The ATE AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mihail Nazaria should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Paulopolis's Hudson Vargas got a free kick in the 29th minute. Hakim Frémont showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Americo Leheren, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 39th minute, ATE AFC's Ricky Dacio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Hakim Frémont took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricky Dacio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute, Lino Meira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mihail Nazaria. The goal made the score 3-2. Paulopolis's Hakim Frémont played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Israel Oier in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of ATE AFC booed when Paulopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Baiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 72nd minute of the match Hudson Vargas completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Hudson Vargas a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
