Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lino Meira took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Edgar Degas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Christer Mattsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Skates's supporters rose to their feet, but Christer Mattsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hakim Frémont breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 10 minutes into the match, Paulopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Degas came free, but Hakim Frémont reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lino Meira charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lino Meira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Paulopolis getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Lino Meira hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Edgar Degas managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Skates's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Degas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hakim Frémont breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgar Degas in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hakim Frémont prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 20 minutes into the game, Hudson Vargas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paulopolis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Skates the free kick. After a rather tough play, The Skates's Edgar Degas got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Paulopolis's Hakim Frémont played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Degas in the 26th minute of play. If Alex Ödmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Paulopolis's goalkeeper Hakim Frémont, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 37th minute Edgar Degas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hakim Frémont saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Osmar Falcão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alex Ödmann struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Hakim Frémont didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Skates. Hakim Frémont stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgar Degas's shot from short distance in the 50th minute.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgar Degas was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Paulopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Degas came free, but Hakim Frémont reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Paulopolis's zone, Alex Ödmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hakim Frémont came out of the goal and Alex Ödmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gert Bammerman hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Lino Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Jan Zorge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgar Degas got free with Hakim Frémont in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hudson Vargas hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Edgar Degas put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Hakim Frémont. Edgar Degas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hakim Frémont having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded The Skates left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Paulopolis.
