Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Aston Villa FC's Bo Lange started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aston Villa FC's Matthias Askberg got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tor Ödmann charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tor Ödmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th minute, Tor Ödmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With 19 minutes on the clock, Tor Ödmann commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 20th minute there was a penalty for Cusco FC. Ismael Llantada stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marcus Engström. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Cusco FC's Hats Echavarria got a free kick in the 24th minute. Matthias Askberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 31 played minutes Aston Villa FC got a freekick which was hit by Tord Lundström. 32 minutes into the game, Cusco FC's Rodriguez Baptiste nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcus Engström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Inge Tuero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kjell-Arne Kjellbom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Aston Villa FC's Kjell-Arne Kjellbom got a free kick in the 37th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Cusco FC's Ismael Llantada tried to score from far away in the 38th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Cusco FC's Inge Tuero got control of the ball when Reine Kvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hats Echavarria during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 43 played minutes Cusco FC got a freekick which was hit by Hats Echavarria. Reine Kvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Inge Tuero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Cusco FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodriguez Baptiste was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Ticho Paya notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Aston Villa FC's Marcus Engström. Marcus Engström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcus Engström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodriguez Baptiste, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. When Reine Kvist fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aston Villa FC's protests and gave Reine Kvist a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Aston Villa FC's Reine Kvist got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute of the match Ismael Llantada shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcus Engström showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Aston Villa FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Rodriguez Baptiste scored to the left of an out of position Marcus Engström, making the score, 1-4. Reine Kvist scored 2-4 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Inge Tuero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcus Engström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodriguez Baptiste in the 71st minute of play. Marcus Engström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodriguez Baptiste's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. The audience was convinced that Rodriguez Baptiste's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcus Engström was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. A collision led to Cusco FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Hats Echavarria hit a great ball. Inge Tuero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthias Askberg in the 86th minute of play. Reine Kvist struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Inge Tuero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aston Villa FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Matthias Askberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aston Villa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Matthias Askberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inge Tuero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcus Engström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodriguez Baptiste in the 91st minute of play. Matthias Askberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Cusco FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
