Olov Ahlquist had in the 19thth minute some difficulties stopping Casimiro Innocenzio's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Godofredo Carlomagno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralf Fransson, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Ralf Fransson notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Brown de Adrogué's Godofredo Carlomagno. Godofredo Carlomagno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 31 minutes, Ralf Fransson made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Glentown FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brown de Adrogué the free kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pablo Corderun stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Olov Ahlquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Corderun in the 56th minute of play. The Brown de Adrogué fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.
