If Stavros Keratomenos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Eustacio Astrada took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Toro Martínez to make any attempt to save it. Eustacio Astrada scored 3-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Toro Martínez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the match, Crusaders's goal looked a bit too open when André-Pierre Gignac came free, but Ernest Paddle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernest Paddle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Buenaventura FC's Toro Martínez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustacio Astrada in the 44th minute of play.

The Crusaders fans cheered their team off the field, for while Buenaventura FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
