Marcus Engström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bo Lange came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Aston Villa FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bo Lange couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Aston Villa FC defense, Boleslaw Polakowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcus Engström. The Aston Villa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Engström should have stopped the shot. In the 32nd minute, Beniamin Jakubiak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcus Engström was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Lech Rosen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matthias Askberg in the 35th minute. Marcus Engström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boleslaw Polakowski in the 36th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Boleslaw Polakowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcus Engström was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. When Tord Lundström fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aston Villa FC's protests and gave Tord Lundström a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Aston Villa FC getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Tord Lundström hit a great ball. Marcus Engström came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by KKP Spasione Kocury's Boleslaw Polakowski. But to his dismay, Boleslaw Polakowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. The audience was convinced that Boleslaw Polakowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcus Engström was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Lech Rosen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bo Lange, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Aston Villa FC's Tor Ödmann seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Tor Ödmann the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Aston Villa FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Tor Ödmann had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 45 minutes into the game, one of Aston Villa FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After the first half KKP Spasione Kocury were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Boleslaw Polakowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Marcus Engström made a huge save. 59 minutes into the game, Boleslaw Polakowski recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcus Engström. Boleslaw Polakowski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Marcus Engström successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rafal Duda kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Boleslaw Polakowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcus Engström. Aston Villa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Boleslaw Polakowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-10. In the 85th minute, KKP Spasione Kocury's Sabin Zubiaga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-11. Marcus Engström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beniamin Jakubiak in the 88th minute of play. Marcus Engström didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 91st minute, which inside left pole to 0-12. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boleslaw Polakowski in the 94th minute of play forced Aston Villa FC's goalkeeper Marcus Engström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
