Sebastian Abreu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Inge Tuero made a huge save. Reynaldo Bartoli received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Inge Tuero came out and tried to block the shot, but Reynaldo Bartoli slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastian Abreu got free with Inge Tuero in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the match, Sebastian Abreu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Inge Tuero, 2-0. Inge Tuero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusebio Mano in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Cusco FC's goalkeeper Inge Tuero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eusebio Mano. Inge Tuero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danilo Isusko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Cusco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Bartoli came free, but Inge Tuero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastian Abreu to make the kick off. Cusco FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ricky Dacio ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cusco FC's goalie and right to Reynaldo Bartoli. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cusco FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Inge Tuero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricky Dacio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute Tobias Wijgaert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Inge Tuero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Cusco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ricky Dacio came free, but Inge Tuero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
