After some careless play in the Bright defense, Eustacio Astrada kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 郝泉文. The Bright fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 郝泉文 should have stopped the shot. 郝泉文 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustacio Astrada in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the game, Stavros Keratomenos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Crusaders's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bright the free kick. After having played for 15 minutes, Julien Zbydniowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bright's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julien Zbydniowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ernest Paddle made an important save on a dangerous shot by İzzettin Çağili in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Bright's Julien Zbydniowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ernest Paddle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ernest Paddle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İzzettin Çağili, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the game, Rutger Morat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Ernest Paddle was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rutger Morat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Ernest Paddle made a huge save. 28 minutes into the match, Crusaders's goal looked a bit too open when İzzettin Çağili came free, but Ernest Paddle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Rutger Morat ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ernest Paddle was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. In the 35th minute Eustacio Astrada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 郝泉文 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Crusaders's goal looked a bit too open when Julien Zbydniowski came free, but Ernest Paddle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Crusaders's goalkeeper Ernest Paddle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by İzzettin Çağili. Humphrey Virgin took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised 郝泉文. 郝泉文 dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humphrey Virgin in the 47th minute of play forced Bright's goalkeeper 郝泉文 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 48 minutes Bright's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Humphrey Virgin who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Bright's goalie and right to Stavros Keratomenos. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Bright's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Humphrey Virgin to make the kick off. Bright's 郝泉文 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humphrey Virgin in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humphrey Virgin in the 54th minute of play forced Bright's goalkeeper 郝泉文 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Crusaders's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 程铮政 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Bright's 程铮政 got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute Humphrey Virgin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 郝泉文 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Crusaders's goal looked a bit too open when İzzettin Çağili came free, but Ernest Paddle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
