When Enio Azevedo fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sosoco FC's protests and gave Enio Azevedo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th minute, Enio Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abel Alonso hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After having played for 12 minutes, Eustacio Astrada managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Crusaders's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eustacio Astrada was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Sosoco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Humphrey Virgin came free, but Diamantino Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Dorian Linares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geovanni Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. When Humphrey Virgin came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Crusaders fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humphrey Virgin couldn't finish the play. Todd Morrison hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. The supporters of Sosoco FC booed when Crusaders was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Alonso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernest Paddle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enio Azevedo went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Diamantino Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Suavi Turhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Crusaders's Ernest Paddle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enio Azevedo in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Oscar Castro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sosoco FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humphrey Virgin in the 38th minute of play forced Sosoco FC's goalkeeper Diamantino Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Humphrey Virgin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Diamantino Arruda. That made the score 1-2 in the 46 minute of play. The Crusaders players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sosoco FC were winning 1-2.

The wind increased when Enio Azevedo made the kick off in the second half. Crusaders were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Sosoco FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Humphrey Virgin took the corner. 62 minutes into the match, Sosoco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stavros Keratomenos came free, but Diamantino Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Delfim Ceresso kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Crusaders's Nath Hislop was substituted for Todd Morrison. Sosoco FC's Diamantino Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustacio Astrada in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Porter Rishton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stavros Keratomenos's late challenge caught a Sosoco FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stavros Keratomenos helped the player get up and apologised. 77 minutes into the game, Delfim Ceresso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ernest Paddle. Delfim Ceresso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Diamantino Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humphrey Virgin, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Diamantino Arruda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustacio Astrada in the 83rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Crusaders defense, Enio Azevedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernest Paddle. The Crusaders fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernest Paddle should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Eustacio Astrada's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diamantino Arruda was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Eustacio Astrada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Diamantino Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Nath Hislop managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crusaders's supporters rose to their feet, but Nath Hislop was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diamantino Arruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sosoco FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
