Ni Tian Peng was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wanderson Melo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 77 minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, El Pinar's Thanos Kalikis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiago Godoi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind São Paulo F.C.'s goalkeeper Tiago Godoi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 90 minutes into the game, Dirk Snabl was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
