Ernest Paddle made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Toma Merlushkin sent off a good shot on target. In the 7th minute, Henrik Kock ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ernest Paddle was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 12th minute, El Pinar's Süreyya Uzer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. In the 15th minute Todd Morrison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ni Tian Peng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute Humphrey Virgin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ni Tian Peng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Emran Akçay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Crusaders's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Pinar the free kick. After a rather tough play, Crusaders's Emran Akçay got a free kick in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Süreyya Uzer in the 20th minute of play forced Crusaders's goalkeeper Ernest Paddle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernest Paddle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Süreyya Uzer in the 24th minute of play. Ernest Paddle made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Estebano Lecanda sent off a good shot on target. Ernest Paddle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Süreyya Uzer in the 29th minute of the match. If Humphrey Virgin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute of the match Abel Alonso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ni Tian Peng skillfully saved the ball. Ernest Paddle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toma Merlushkin in the 42nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toma Merlushkin got free with Ernest Paddle in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Estebano Lecanda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Crusaders's Ernest Paddle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Estebano Lecanda in the 51st minute of play. Ernest Paddle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Estebano Lecanda in the 52nd minute of play. After having played for 55 minutes, Estebano Lecanda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Pinar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Estebano Lecanda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humphrey Virgin in the 59th minute of play forced El Pinar's goalkeeper Ni Tian Peng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Crusaders made a substitution. Nath Hislop replaced Todd Morrison. Ernest Paddle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Estebano Lecanda in the 67th minute of the match. Stavros Keratomenos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Ni Tian Peng made a huge save. Ernest Paddle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elija Maiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernest Paddle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Süreyya Uzer, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Eustacio Astrada's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ni Tian Peng firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some careless play in the El Pinar defense, Humphrey Virgin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ni Tian Peng. The El Pinar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ni Tian Peng should have stopped the shot. Ernest Paddle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Estebano Lecanda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. El Pinar's Ni Tian Peng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humphrey Virgin in the 85th minute of play. After 86 played minutes Crusaders got a freekick which was hit by Emran Akçay. Fredrik Holden might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernest Paddle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fredrik Holden ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to El Pinar getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Mantzio Mena hit a great ball. In the 94th minute, Humphrey Virgin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and El Pinar's Ni Tian Peng didn't even have to move. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. El Pinar fully deserved thier win.
