The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes SAN LORENZO FC got a freekick which was hit by Artur Quintas. Lisandro Nuñez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Froilan Jacob tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Artur Quintas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 14 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by Geronimo Silviano. The audience was convinced that Lisandro Nuñez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Froilan Jacob was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Dario Astigar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo Enmanuel went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to SAN LORENZO FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Artur Quintas hit a great ball. 29 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Justino Hondo came free, but Dario Astigar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Froilan Jacob took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro Nuñez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Bernardo Ignatius fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Formentera's protests and gave Bernardo Ignatius a yellow card for diving instead. Bernardo Ignatius hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. When SAN LORENZO FC's Lisandro Nuñez in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Formentera's goalie prevented a goal. 44 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Nuñez came free, but Froilan Jacob reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lisandro Nuñez to make the kick off. Formentera's Hernan Chus quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Wang Chao Yuan, made in the 53rd minute of the game. Bernardo Ignatius was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Bernardo Ignatius kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Formentera's Celedonio Rafe was substituted for Geronimo Silviano. Ariel Libertad was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 60 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute, Ariel Libertad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Léon Valin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Froilan Jacob made a huge save. Lisandro Nuñez struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Froilan Jacob didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SAN LORENZO FC. SAN LORENZO FC made a substitution. Ciriaco Cordarrell replaced Lisandro Nuñez. SAN LORENZO FC's Isaias Rosario was substituted for Allan Blom. Artur Quintas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Froilan Jacob having to interfere. Ciriaco Cordarrell succeeded in the game's 76th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. 83 minutes into the game, Ciriaco Cordarrell recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Froilan Jacob. Ciriaco Cordarrell showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. 87 minutes into the match, Ciriaco Cordarrell notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Formentera's Froilan Jacob. Froilan Jacob was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 89 minutes into the game, 龙建烨 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Formentera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SAN LORENZO FC the free kick. The supporters of SAN LORENZO FC booed when Formentera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. 龙建烨 didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 93 played minutes Formentera got a freekick which was hit by 杨平帆. Froilan Jacob made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Ciriaco Cordarrell sent off a good shot on target. SAN LORENZO FC played a much better game than Formentera and deserved their victory. The Formentera players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
