Cícero Proença didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. A hard shot 18 in the game by Pankracy Setara from a close distance when the talented Jonathan Ferrant managed to make a qualified save. Venezuela's players were relieved. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Pankracy Setara sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 27th minute. 28 minutes in the game, Norman Ackermann fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Patricio Costa was shown his second yellow card after 29 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 30 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. SC Otten's Cícero Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 39th minute of play. In the 47th minute Norman Ackermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48th minute, SC Otten's Pankracy Setara dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. Cícero Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 54th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norman Ackermann in the 56th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Venezuela booed when SC Otten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. I Putu Min Jou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norman Ackermann in the 63rd minute of play. In the 68th minute Pankracy Setara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Cícero Proença made a huge save. After a rather tough play, SC Otten's I Putu Min Jou got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norman Ackermann in the 75th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norman Ackermann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Wit Dytrych kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Cícero Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 84th minute of play. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Wit Dytrych scored 5-0 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Cícero Proença in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hette Kiewiet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere.
