Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 21st minute. The coaching staff of Desfachatados F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Modesto Piarres had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 21st minute, one of Desfachatados F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Desfachatados F.C.. Esteve Pello had in the 25thth minute some difficulties stopping Daniel Zorita's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 29 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Esteve Pello was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Esteve Pello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 33rd minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benjamin Cambranes to strike the kick off in the second half. Esteve Pello was a little too slow when Felix Montenegro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 0-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esteve Pello breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Esteve Pello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 88th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Desfachatados F.C.'s goalkeeper Esteve Pello had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Ecuador played a much better game than Desfachatados F.C. and deserved their victory. The Desfachatados F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
