Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Frank Berggren started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 2 minutes into the match, Luis Andino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joacim Hultman. Småland Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Andino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 11th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 13th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joacim Hultman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Algot Brask hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joacim Hultman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Ove Lövgren in the 20th minute of play. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho scored 0-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joacim Hultman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joacim Hultman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joacim Hultman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 37th minute Sven-Ove Lövgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tobias Svanér fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Småland Utd's protests and gave Tobias Svanér a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Småland Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Svanér didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 44 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute, Sven-Ove Lövgren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Sancho hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

57 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Berggren came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arman Hansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Berggren in the 67th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Alf Västberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Småland Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. A collision led to Småland Utd getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Alf Västberg hit a great ball. Joacim Hultman made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Småland Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gösta Gustafsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Joacim Hultman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After a defensive mix-up in Småland Utd's zone, Agustín Saelices stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joacim Hultman came out of the goal and Agustín Saelices tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute Sven-Ove Lövgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th match minute, Småland Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Wennersten to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joacim Hultman having to interfere. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
