After taking down the ball on Panama's corner Abraham Alguacil fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lev Yashin quite easily take care of the ball. A collision led to Conjunto Paisa getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Liu Ping hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, Harriet Basabe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Harriet Basabe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. A collision led to Conjunto Paisa getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Liu Ping hit a great ball. Conjunto Paisa's Lev Yashin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 18th minute of play. After 19 minutes Conjunto Paisa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Abraham Alguacil who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Panama getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Aaron Barrios hit a great ball. Tomás Angel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harriet Basabe in the 26th minute of play. Lev Yashin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Harriet Basabe dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcos Cotilla, 2-0. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matxin Maliaño, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Isidoro Sarmiento couldn't finish the play. 57 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Angel came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th match minute, Panama was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Miralles to maneuver through the defense. Harriet Basabe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Panama players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Conjunto Paisa.
