Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ascencio Mathey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 4th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 6th minute of play forced Modroñes's goalkeeper Ascencio Mathey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lorenzo Urdiales during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Modroñes's Lorenzo Urdiales got a free kick in the 8th minute. Ascencio Mathey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho managed to work through Modroñes's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Cristian Sancho dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Modroñes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Juan Sebastián Puig made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Modroñes's Ascencio Mathey managed to reach the ball for a save. 22 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ascencio Mathey was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 28 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ascencio Mathey. Modroñes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Modroñes's Stacio Mijangos got a free kick in the 31st minute. After 35 minutes, Cristian Sancho made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Modroñes's Ascencio Mathey tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 0-4 became the score in the 39th minute when Daniel Zorita elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ascencio Mathey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

53 minutes into the game, Javier Baranda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Modroñes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. Ascencio Mathey came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. 61 minutes into the game, Luis Andino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Ascencio Mathey was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 64th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 66 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 76th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Modroñes's goalkeeper Ascencio Mathey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Ascencio Mathey was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Cristian Sancho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristian Sancho really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Ascencio Mathey made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Ascencio Mathey in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Modroñes's Ascencio Mathey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-10. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
