Severino Ribeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. 10 minutes into the match, MC ESPANHOL's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Teófilo Belém reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, MC ESPANHOL's Aldo Giovannelli got a free kick in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Teófilo Belém made a huge save. In the 54th minute, Mauro Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teófilo Belém made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 59th minute. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgílio Serpa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virgílio Serpa hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Teófilo Belém in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, MC ESPANHOL's Teófilo Belém got control of the ball when Facundo Cadaval tried to sneak it across the goal line. MC ESPANHOL's Teófilo Belém played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 80th minute of play. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 84th minute. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MC ESPANHOL's Teófilo Belém did a great save. Lautaro Mancebo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 85th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, MC ESPANHOL's Teófilo Belém got control of the ball when Joel Gaona tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than MC ESPANHOL throughout the match.
