After a rather tough play, Azzurri FC's Christoper Kearney got a free kick in the 14th minute. Azzurri FC's Norman Herndon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of play. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Agustín Saelices might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Norman Herndon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agustín Saelices ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norman Herndon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Azzurri FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Azzurri FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norman Herndon came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Norman Herndon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After 44 minutes Azzurri FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Norman Herndon. Norman Herndon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The Azzurri FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Azzurri FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cristoforo Colombo in the 53rd minute. An unexpected shot in the 61st minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Samuel Casgrain fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Azzurri FC's protests and gave Samuel Casgrain a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Azzurri FC's Samuel Casgrain got a free kick in the 64th minute. Agustín Saelices who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Norman Herndon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Norman Herndon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Daniel Zorita sped through Azzurri FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Norman Herndon. In the 80th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Norman Herndon. The goal made the score 0-7. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Norman Herndon. That made the score 0-8 after 83 minutes of play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Azzurri FC.
