KS Piastów Sosnowiec's Tomasz Piwko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 35th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Chile's corner Mariano Lacasa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tomasz Piwko quite easily take care of the ball. In the 43rd minute, Pedro Indiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomasz Piwko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 46th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariusz Zgonina in the 56th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariusz Zgonina in the 67th minute of play. After having played for 70 minutes, Mariano Lacasa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Lacasa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mariano Lacasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 74th minute of play forced KS Piastów Sosnowiec's goalkeeper Tomasz Piwko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Stelian Joldea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Pliego was relentless in the 75th minute of the game.
