Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Demy Salens in the 3rd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artemio Domenech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Benito Sanz managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Boca Gregorian Juniors's Demy Salens fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The corner led Boca Gregorian Juniors's Robbie Ijksma to fire away a dangerous shot which Benito Sanz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Demy Salens sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th minute, Demy Salens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Aaron Alcocer charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aaron Alcocer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Boca Gregorian Juniors booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boca Gregorian Juniors's Robbie Ijksma shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 20th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Benito Sanz but with some difficulty. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerard Daamen in the 23rd minute. Sébastien Haller received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Sébastien Haller slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 25th minute. After 28 minutes, Juan Rubio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Boca Gregorian Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sébastien Haller in the 30th minute of play. The supporters of Boca Gregorian Juniors booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sébastien Haller in the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Rubio to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerard Daamen got free with Benito Sanz in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sébastien Haller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerard Daamen struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Gregorian Juniors. In the 47th minute of the match, Sébastien Haller tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Benito Sanz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lautaro Puig during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Boca Gregorian Juniors's Wim Oldenborger got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 54th minute, Gerard Daamen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Gerard Daamen struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca Gregorian Juniors. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 60th minute. Gerard Daamen scored 4-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sébastien Haller went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sébastien Haller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Efrain Moruga fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Efrain Moruga a yellow card for diving instead. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerard Daamen in the 79th minute of the match. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Demy Salens in the 80th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerard Daamen in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 91 minutes into the game, Boca Gregorian Juniors's Gerard Daamen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. If Gerard Daamen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Boca Gregorian Juniors's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
