In the 3rd minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Shahab Nikbakht-Vahedi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Ardalan Eslami hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the game, Luis Andino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Shahab Nikbakht-Vahedi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Shahab Nikbakht-Vahedi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Borna Hatami in the 25th minute of play. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Behnam Lahouti in the 26th minute. When %teams%'s Behnam Lahouti was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-1 just inside the left pole, 27 minutes into the game. Julio Vera was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Shahab Nikbakht-Vahedi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 35th minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Shahab Nikbakht-Vahedi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 46 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Shahab Nikbakht-Vahedi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Behnam Lahouti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 54 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Shahab Nikbakht-Vahedi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 60th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Red Army was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gholam Reza Dinarvand didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho scored 1-5 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Shahab Nikbakht-Vahedi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 77th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Shahab Nikbakht-Vahedi. Red Army's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Shahab Nikbakht-Vahedi. That made the score 1-7 after 80 minutes of play. In the 86th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-8. Soroush Heshmatzadeh hit a great ball. 94 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-9. Shahab Nikbakht-Vahedi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ecuador played a much better game than Red Army and deserved their victory. The Red Army players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
