Fausto Kemen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Shen Guo Yu fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 27 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samuel Rojelio. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venezuela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! 35 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Anastasio Berriotxoa came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. A collision led to Cervantes F.C. getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Celestino Nesto hit a great ball. Jose Correa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Kemen having to interfere. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cervantes F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Carlos Nascimento in the 48th minute really tested Jonathan Ferrant's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shen Guo Yu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Shen Guo Yu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fausto Kemen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 55th minute of play. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Carlos Nascimento in the 69th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. Honorio Dabi struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cervantes F.C.. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fausto Kemen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After 85 minutes of play Venezuela's Jose Correa was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Cervantes F.C. booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jonathan Venegas was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 93 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 94th minute. Celestino Nesto charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celestino Nesto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cervantes F.C. getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Celestino Nesto hit a great ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
