Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cristian Naike got the match started through his kick off. The throw-in from Emmanuel Reyes in the 3rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Vélez Juniors's Santos Fonda. 5 minutes into the game, Benigno Gurutz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 7th minute, Nicolas Roland ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. When Vélez Juniors's Cristian Naike in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Peru's goalie prevented a goal. Elpidio Vitin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Milagros Fraga hit a great ball. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Naike in the 42nd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elpidio Vitin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Elpidio Vitin came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emmanuel Reyes made in the 61st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Milagros Fraga immediately put the ball in play. In the 68th minute Cristian Naike shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vélez Juniors's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Peru's Eliseo Mina getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Vélez Juniors's Elpidio Vitin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 81st minute of play. With a little luck, Vélez Juniors's Elpidio Vitin got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line.
