Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ernest Spoelbergs took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartosz Skikiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 5th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bucaneiros's Bartosz Skikiewicz did a great save. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Reha Zeren in the 13th minute of play. After 15 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Tafalla. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernest Spoelbergs in the 15th minute. In the 18th minute, Alberto Tafalla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 21st minute of play forced Bucaneiros's goalkeeper Bartosz Skikiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mexico's Joel Gaona in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bucaneiros's goalie prevented a goal. In the 26th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Bucaneiros's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bartosz Skikiewicz quite easily take care of the ball. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartosz Skikiewicz having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bartosz Skikiewicz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bucaneiros's Bartosz Skikiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 38th minute of play. Luca Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bartosz Skikiewicz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luca Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Bartosz Skikiewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Facundo Cadaval to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Alberto Tafalla hit a great ball. The supporters of Bucaneiros booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Mancebo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bucaneiros's Matteo La Forest was substituted for Clodoaldo á Borg. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a free kick in the 60th minute. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Bartosz Skikiewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Tafalla to maneuver through the defense. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Kempes in the 70th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Bartosz Skikiewicz threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 74th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Mancebo to maneuver through the defense. Luca Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartosz Skikiewicz having to interfere. Bucaneiros's Bartosz Skikiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 83rd minute of play.
