In the 7th minute Sauveur Pejuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Desire Mañaria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Zebolla FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute, Zebolla FC's Desire Mañaria ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Giorgos Dimas's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giorgos Dimas helped the player get up and apologised. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Mimenza having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 47 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Desire Mañaria went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Mimenza having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Desire Mañaria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Desire Mañaria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Desire Mañaria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desire Mañaria in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 85th minute. Zebolla FC made a substitution. Gaston Urtarte replaced Giorgos Dimas. After 86 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina. When Tomas Illescas fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Tomas Illescas a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. In the 93rd minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Desire Mañaria struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zebolla FC. The Zebolla FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0.
