In the 7th minute, Real Santista FC's Jeremias Abreu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Magno Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Noboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the game, Gearoid McFrancise was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Santista FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. Gearoid McFrancise hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kurt Hamrin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 13 minute of play. Jeremias Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Jeremias Abreu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Jeremias Abreu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the match, Luís Gustavo Ferreira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Gustavo Ferreira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Kurt Hamrin struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Santista FC. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Hamrin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esiquio Villaspasa in the 32nd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Costa Rica's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vito Aguiar was slow to take the kick. During this time Real Santista FC's players had a chance to rest. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 36th minute. Magno Leme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 45th minute of play. When Real Santista FC's Jeremias Abreu in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Real Santista FC's Miroslav Raab was substituted for Kurt Hamrin. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miroslav Raab was the one to do the kick off. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Axel Tasis during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 54 played minutes, Real Santista FC's Vito Aguiar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benito Sanz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Real Santista FC reached it. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Gustavo Ferreira in the 55th minute of the match. In the 57th minute of the match Vito Aguiar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miroslav Raab's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Costa Rica were furious when Alexander Carballo was red carded, 66 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 66 minutes into the game, one of Costa Rica:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miroslav Raab in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Miroslav Raab notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Magno Leme. That made the score 5-1 after 78 minutes of play. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Gustavo Ferreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esiquio Villaspasa struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Santista FC. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miroslav Raab in the 96th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Abreu in the 99th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Real Santista FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
