Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Horia Chioreanu started the match with the kick off. Lucrețiu Sfetcu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 4 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Luis Andino. In the 5th minute Horia Chioreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horia Chioreanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Basarab Panduru got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. After having played for 17 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luis Andino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horia Chioreanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucrețiu Sfetcu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sancho scored 2-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucrețiu Sfetcu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Lucrețiu Sfetcu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 38 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Călin Boieraș who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Călin Boieraș got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After 44 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Horia Chioreanu in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's goalkeeper Lucrețiu Sfetcu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Ejvind Kirkemand hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Lucrețiu Sfetcu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 52nd minute of play. After 55 minutes of play, FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Basarab Panduru made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horia Chioreanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucrețiu Sfetcu made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Lucrețiu Sfetcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 70th minute of play. Basarab Panduru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Eric Gorcea was substituted for Valer Perișoară. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Costin Malcoci was substituted for Horia Chioreanu. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Adrian Nasta was substituted for Basarab Panduru. When the match had been going on for 80 minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Lucrețiu Sfetcu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Gorcea in the 82nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eric Gorcea spun around in front of the goal 82 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Ecuador's goal. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Lucrețiu Sfetcu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agustín Saelices to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Eric Gorcea managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's supporters rose to their feet, but Eric Gorcea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costin Malcoci in the 96th minute of play. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
