Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Zorita made the kick off which started today's match. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rachid Benida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 9 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Rachid Benida was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdelkader El-Hadi in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute of play forced Bolivar's goalkeeper Rachid Benida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bolivar's Rachid Benida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abdelkader El-Hadi. The audience was convinced that Agustín Saelices's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rachid Benida was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Bruno Pasquino hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rachid Benida. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Rachid Benida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Bolivar's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Rachid Benida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Bolivar's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in Bolivar's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rachid Benida came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When Rachid Bellemou Messaoud fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bolivar's protests and gave Rachid Bellemou Messaoud a yellow card for diving instead. Rachid Bellemou Messaoud hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Rachid Benida in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Said Hamruche kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rachid Benida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rachid Benida. Daniel Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mouloud Djebar in the 85th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rachid Benida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 91 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rachid Benida was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Bolivar.
