Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Bujor having to interfere. Valentin Bujor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The D.P.Aarburg players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-1.

51 minutes into the match, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valentin Bujor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 53 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when David Peralta came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Peralta in the 54th minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Isias in the 76th minute of play. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emanuel Isias was slow to take the kick. During this time D.P.Aarburg's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Emanuel Isias almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa did a great save. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Andrade in the 83rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Felix Luque got a free kick in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leal Castilho in the 87th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
