Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kacper Figlewski in the 13th minute of play. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wasyl Maziarski in the 25th minute. After 26 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Wasyl Maziarski tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 36th minute of play forced Cracovianos Juniors's goalkeeper João Paulo Dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Wasyl Maziarski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kacper Figlewski's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Kacper Figlewski made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a free kick in the 51st minute. 64 minutes into the match, Cracovianos Juniors's Norbert Domeracki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 64 minutes, Hugo Ferrant mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Cracovianos Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Witalis Kajder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Witalis Kajder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
