Wilson Nzeki made in the 4th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Duncan Mwaura immediately put the ball in play. In the 8th minute Nicolae Ceaușescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nacho Gonzalez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduardo Dorado was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Luisinho Laguna capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luisinho Laguna really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Luisinho Laguna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eduardo Dorado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute El Gallo de Moron were awarded a corner. Teofilo Garrote went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Allan Schubert heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Nacho Gonzalez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolae Ceaușescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Teofilo Garrote kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Dorival Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nacho Gonzalez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nacho Gonzalez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival Sarmento in the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Njoroge in the 21st minute of play forced El Gallo de Moron's goalkeeper Nacho Gonzalez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, El Gallo de Moron's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolae Ceaușescu came free, but Nacho Gonzalez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nacho Gonzalez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicolae Ceaușescu's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. In the 26th minute Nicolae Ceaușescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nacho Gonzalez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 played minutes FC Hamunaptra got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Komen. In the 28th minute, Luisinho Laguna reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eduardo Dorado. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 31st minute Dorival Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nacho Gonzalez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nacho Gonzalez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorival Sarmento in the 34th minute of play. Eduardo Dorado made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Luisinho Laguna sent off a good shot on target. Teofilo Garrote sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Luisinho Laguna kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eduardo Dorado. That made the score 3-0 in the 39 minute of play. Nacho Gonzalez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Nekesa, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luisinho Laguna to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, El Gallo de Moron's Luisinho Laguna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eduardo Dorado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FC Hamunaptra's Eduardo Dorado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Laguna in the 54th minute of play. Eduardo Dorado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Garrote, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. El Gallo de Moron's Luisinho Laguna suffered a concussion in the 60th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 60 minutes into the game, Wilson Nzeki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Hamunaptra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Gallo de Moron the free kick. In the 60th minute, one of FC Hamunaptra:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Hamunaptra. The referee gave El Gallo de Moron a penalty, 62 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Teofilo Garrote, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Hamunaptra's Eduardo Dorado. 4-0. El Gallo de Moron's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Teofilo Garrote in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute Pierre Le Saint shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Dorado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When El Gallo de Moron's Pierre Le Saint in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Eduardo Dorado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. David Nekesa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Nacho Gonzalez made a huge save. After a rather tough play, FC Hamunaptra's Dennis Komen got a free kick in the 80th minute. Pierre Le Saint's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eduardo Dorado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. FC Hamunaptra's Eduardo Dorado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre Le Saint in the 83rd minute of play. FC Hamunaptra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pierre Le Saint was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. El Gallo de Moron walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
