Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Artemio Ibañez made the kick off and thus started the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 3rd minute of play forced Montecarlo FC's goalkeeper Geronimo Colas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Agustín Saelices recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Montecarlo FC's goalkeeper Geronimo Colas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Montecarlo FC's Geronimo Colas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 12th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Artemio Ibañez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. 18 minutes into the game, Juan Sebastián Puig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montecarlo FC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ecuador fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artemio Ibañez in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Jesus Iratxo fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 27 played minutes Montecarlo FC got a freekick which was hit by Fernan Naelio. Artemio Ibañezs short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Julio Vera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Andino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geronimo Colas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Artemio Ibañez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Gabriel Joachim charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gabriel Joachim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Montecarlo FC's Gabriel Joachim got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 45th minute Abdul Elbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. The supporters of Montecarlo FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Geronimo Colas was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 60 played minutes Montecarlo FC got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Donzel. When Rosendo Chaime fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montecarlo FC's protests and gave Rosendo Chaime a yellow card for diving instead. The goalkeeper, Geronimo Colas, was totally fooled by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita, who 65 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Antonio Arias got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 74th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Montecarlo FC made a substitution. Cristobal Txindoki replaced Artemio Ibañez. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Txindoki, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Daniel Zorita's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Geronimo Colas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 85 minutes into the match, Montecarlo FC's goalkeeper Geronimo Colas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 85th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Geronimo Colas. The goal made the score 1-2. Jaime Donzel kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Geronimo Colas, 1-3.
