When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Jarbas Siqueira took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Tomas Illescas sped through Marxistas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Vladimir Costa. In the 16th minute, Jarbas Siqueira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 2-1. In the 18th minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jarbas Siqueira. After a rather tough play, Marxistas's Eulalio Haritzeder got a free kick in the 25th minute. A collision led to Marxistas getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Mihály Zádori hit a great ball. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Jarbas Siqueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vladimir Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jarbas Siqueira in the 42nd minute. In the 42nd minute, Eulalio Haritzeder left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marxistas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

52 minutes into the game, Jonathan Venegas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marxistas the free kick. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 53 played minutes, Marxistas's Eulalio Haritzeder shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarbas Siqueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Vladimir Costa in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 67th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. In the 72nd minute Jarbas Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Eulalio Haritzeder kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Mihály Zádori kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Alfredão Aparecido hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. There was no doubt that Marxistas were the better team. Marxistas's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
