Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Stanislaw Rekowski made in the 3rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Anthony Alvarado. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Romero in the 5th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Muharrem Sebih ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rolando Noboa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 14 played minutes Gençlerbirliği got a freekick which was hit by Ekrem Yay. 17 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Muharrem Sebih came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Gençlerbirliği's Conrado Romero. But to his dismay, Conrado Romero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Dursun Ekinci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 30th minute of play. After 32 played minutes Gençlerbirliği got a freekick which was hit by Stanislaw Rekowski. Stanislaw Rekowski kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Dursun Ekinci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milagros Fraga, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gençlerbirliği's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Dursun Ekinci didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julian Murillo went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Dursun Ekinci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 47 minutes into the match, Gençlerbirliği's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Dursun Ekinci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Conrado Romero made a kick off. In the 51st minute Conrado Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, Luz Tejedor recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dursun Ekinci. Luz Tejedor showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantijn Airpoel in the 56th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Kristen Michálek in the 59th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Dursun Ekinci took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Mina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jean-Claude van Damme came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Gençlerbirliği fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jean-Claude van Damme couldn't finish the play. 66 minutes into the match, Gençlerbirliği's goalkeeper Dursun Ekinci had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. Dursun Ekinci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. When Milagros Fraga came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Milagros Fraga couldn't finish the play. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. 89 minutes into the match, Gençlerbirliği's goalkeeper Dursun Ekinci had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rafael Gallo. With an all-out effort, Peru's Dursun Ekinci threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eliseo Mina, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 93 minutes into the match, Gençlerbirliği's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Gallo came free, but Dursun Ekinci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 97 minutes into the match Rafael Gallo climbed in front of goal and pressed up 2-3 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Dursun Ekinci. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Peru eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
