Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Filippo Pinti started the match with the kick off. Filippo Pinti who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dennis Cimino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 11th minute of play. Castagneto Po AFC's Biagio Nola got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Filippo Pinti ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dennis Cimino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 29 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filippo Pinti. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Dennis Cimino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dennis Cimino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Castagneto Po AFC's Dennis Cimino managed to reach the ball for a save. Dennis Cimino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montes in the 36th minute of the match. Filippo Pinti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emilio Sciarra got free with Julio Vera in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, Dennis Cimino successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 53rd minute, Emilio Sciarra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 55 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 62nd minute, which Dennis Cimino however easily saved by the left post. In the 66th minute, Filippo Pinti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Castagneto Po AFC made a substitution. Federico Ciccone replaced Andrea Pinti. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Castagneto Po AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filippo Pinti didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Castagneto Po AFC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Eraldo Sorrentino hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 76th minute. Emilio Sciarra kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dennis Cimino. Daniel Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
