Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Zacarias Francesco made the kick off which started today's match. In the 2nd minute, Leopoldo Afonso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leopoldo Afonso got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 6 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Zacarias Francesco came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benjamin Price made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 9th minute of play. Characate FC's Zacarias Francesco got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zacarias Francesco's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zacarias Francesco in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Characate FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Emre Can in the 16th minute. The audience was convinced that Zacarias Francesco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. In the 29th minute, Leopoldo Afonso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Characate FC's Zacarias Francesco. But to his dismay, Zacarias Francesco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. When Characate FC's Zacarias Francesco in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Characate FC booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leopoldo Afonso went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. When Leopoldo Afonso came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Characate FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo Afonso couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leopoldo Afonso went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Leopoldo Afonso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Characate FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leopoldo Afonso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Afonso in the 74th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Benjamin Price in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Afonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leopoldo Afonso in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 85 minutes of play, Characate FC's Leopoldo Afonso made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Afonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the match, Characate FC's Leopoldo Afonso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. There was no doubt that Characate FC were the better team. Characate FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
