Cai Zhi Qi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 24 minutes into the match, Dapotan Eagles Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Ramang Hermansyah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Agurto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Ramang Hermansyah didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After a rather tough play, Dapotan Eagles Fc's Chayo Gabas got a free kick in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramang Hermansyah breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th minute, Cai Zhi Qi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. When Apolo Agurto fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dapotan Eagles Fc's protests and gave Apolo Agurto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 50th minute, Apolo Agurto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Ramang Hermansyah made a huge save. Dapotan Eagles Fc's Ramang Hermansyah proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Dapotan Eagles Fc from getting a goal against them. Hanafi Rai's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Zorita had several of the Dapotan Eagles Fc's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 82 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Ramang Hermansyah as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig got a free kick in the 84th minute. After 90 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Primitivo Andino. Fondas Botitsis was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 91st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 96 minutes, Firdaus Yom made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Dapotan Eagles Fc were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
