Cristian Vella's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. All Boys were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Apolo Esiquio took the corner. Apolo Esiquio was extremely unlucky when he, in the 15th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pablo Solchaga in the 24th minute. The audience was convinced that Domenico Tellini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. All Boys's Apolo Esiquio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Domenico Tellini took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luizinho de Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adan Platon in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 92nd minute, Pablo Solchaga made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. There was no doubt that All Boys were the better team. All Boys's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
