Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Illescas got the match started through his kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raul Brandao saved ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ from getting behind. Raul Brandao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 48th minute of play forced ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s goalkeeper Raul Brandao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

57 minutes into the game, ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Andres Villalobos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raul Brandao breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Andres Villalobos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 67 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s goalkeeper Raul Brandao, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raul Brandao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patricio Costa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Raul Brandao came out and tried to block the shot, but Patricio Costa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 89th minute. When the final whistle sounded Venezuela left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ►Las Mercedes F.C◄.
