Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. Matanza and Steelers's Renan Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Matanza and Steelers's Ulrico Herzog slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmy Örtendal in the 18th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jimmy Örtendal was slow to take the kick. During this time Matanza and Steelers's players had a chance to rest. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmy Örtendal in the 21st minute of play. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. César Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Renan Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Matanza and Steelers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Renan Mendes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.

In the 53rd minute Jimmy Örtendal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 55thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Matanza and Steelers's keeper Renan Mendes was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. With a little luck, Matanza and Steelers's Renan Mendes got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Renan Mendes made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Jimmy Örtendal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulrico Herzog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65 played minutes Matanza and Steelers got a freekick which was hit by César Lucas. Matanza and Steelers made a substitution. Wiliam Peixoto replaced Aaron Tello. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Matanza and Steelers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. César Lucas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Jimmy Örtendal came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edmondo Aloisi kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After 81 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jimmy Örtendal who took care of the corner kick. Jimmy Örtendal made a great header on Matanza and Steelers's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wiliam Peixoto's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. The audience was convinced that Wiliam Peixoto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulrico Herzog in the 84th minute of the match. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulrico Herzog's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 93 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Jimmy Örtendal came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Matanza and Steelers players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
