Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stanislav Dvorskiy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 18th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanislav Dvorskiy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stanislav Dvorskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of play forced Resistencia Tayrona FC's goalkeeper Stanislav Dvorskiy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ospetsu Villagarcia hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Stanislav Dvorskiy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stanislav Dvorskiy was left in no man's land by his defense there! Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanislav Dvorskiy having to interfere. Alessandro Manzanal hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 41st minute of play forced Resistencia Tayrona FC's goalkeeper Stanislav Dvorskiy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Taurino Hernaiz in the 44th minute of the match. After 46th play minutes Felix Montenegro shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Stanislav Dvorskiy and just under the crossbar into goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Alessandro Manzanal kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Stanislav Dvorskiy firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 57th minute, Resistencia Tayrona FC's Bermudo Uranga seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bermudo Uranga the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Resistencia Tayrona FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bermudo Uranga had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Resistencia Tayrona FC's Chale Galanes was substituted for Zernin Losa. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Resistencia Tayrona FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ecuador:s goal. Daniel Zorita in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Stanislav Dvorskiy, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanislav Dvorskiy having to interfere. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Stanislav Dvorskiy when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 75th minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stanislav Dvorskiy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the match, Resistencia Tayrona FC's goalkeeper Stanislav Dvorskiy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. After 84 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stanislav Dvorskiy was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alessandro Manzanal kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The supporters of Resistencia Tayrona FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Andino didn't get a good kick on the ball.
