With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dong Jian Yang in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lin Mo Hong saved Curumalán AFC from getting behind. Gimnasia y tiro were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after Curumalán AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Esben Nordborg took the corner. The referee felt a red card was in order, 13 minutes into the game, when Endre Szentes put in a rough tackle. In the 12th minute, one of Gimnasia y tiro:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gimnasia y tiro. In the 14th minute of the game, Curumalán AFC got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. After having played for 18 minutes, Luciano Mouricio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gimnasia y tiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luciano Mouricio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gimnasia y tiro's Wieslaw Panasewicz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Gimnasia y tiro from getting a goal against them. In the 23rd minute, Emmanuel Gigliotti left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Curumalán AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 26 minutes into the match, Esequiel Barco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wieslaw Panasewicz. Gimnasia y tiro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Esequiel Barco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. 33 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y tiro's goal looked a bit too open when Emmanuel Gigliotti came free, but Wieslaw Panasewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Curumalán AFC were awarded a corner. Freddy Mikelats went to the cornerflag to take it. Curumalán AFC's Alfred Nobel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wieslaw Panasewicz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emmanuel Gigliotti in the 36th minute of play forced Gimnasia y tiro's goalkeeper Wieslaw Panasewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wieslaw Panasewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emmanuel Gigliotti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lin Mo Hong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dong Jian Yang in the 37th minute of the match. With a little luck, Gimnasia y tiro's Wieslaw Panasewicz got control of the ball when Esequiel Barco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Curumalán AFC made a substitution. Romulo Ekaitz replaced Toro Rodriguez. The wind increased when Reynaldo Montrelle made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reynaldo Montrelle in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lin Mo Hong prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 59th minute, Esben Nordborg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wieslaw Panasewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esequiel Barco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wieslaw Panasewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esequiel Barco, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Curumalán AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Freddy Mikelats in the 67th minute. After taking down the ball on Curumalán AFC's corner Alexander Aalders fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wieslaw Panasewicz quite easily take care of the ball. In the 75th minute Esben Nordborg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lin Mo Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Esequiel Barco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wieslaw Panasewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esequiel Barco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esequiel Barco took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wieslaw Panasewicz. Wieslaw Panasewicz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Esequiel Barco scored 5-0 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wieslaw Panasewicz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Gimnasia y tiro's Stratos Karatzas got a free kick in the 97th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Curumalán AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gimnasia y tiro had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
