Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chancleta SC's goalkeeper Obregón Arrizabalaga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 4 minutes into the game, Mario Bang was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chancleta SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Chancleta SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Bang didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice moves J.P. Hauge could shoot a difficult shot in the 7th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. J.P. Hauge's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post. Vachon Luaces fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Obregón Arrizabalaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonardo Lomas kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as J.P. Hauge kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 in the 35 minute of play. Chancleta SC were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Agustín Raedo took the corner. The corner ended in Agustín Raedo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chancleta SC's goalie prevented a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and J.P. Hauge made a kick off. A collision led to Chancleta SC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Castillo Cepeda hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vachon Luaces in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 56th minute of the match Chancleta SC got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Agustín Raedo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Obregón Arrizabalaga having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Chancleta SC's Paulo Carlos got a free kick in the 59th minute. Chancleta SC's Guerrero Usel was substituted for Vachon Luaces. Chancleta SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Daniel Zorita scored to the left of an out of position Obregón Arrizabalaga, making the score, 2-1. Obregón Arrizabalaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chancleta SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Obregón Arrizabalaga in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Castillo Cepeda hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Obregón Arrizabalaga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chancleta SC's Obregón Arrizabalaga did a great save. 84 minutes into the match, Chancleta SC's goalkeeper Obregón Arrizabalaga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Obregón Arrizabalaga having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 88th minute of play forced Chancleta SC's goalkeeper Obregón Arrizabalaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes Chancleta SC got a freekick which was hit by Wilmer Sahagun. The Chancleta SC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
