The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Gonzalo Errando tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ubaldo Fillol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Filial Los Canarios's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Ubaldo Fillol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Luis Andino made a precise shot to the right of Ubaldo Fillol. Filial Los Canarios's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Errando came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Filial Los Canarios's Julian Socorro got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Gonzalo Errando made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Ubaldo Fillol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. If Toralf Walther had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ubaldo Fillol. Ubaldo Fillol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Ubaldo Fillol didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-4 in the ordered_time% minute. Gonzalo Errando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Julian Socorro's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julian Socorro helped the player get up and apologised. Julian Socorro hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
