Hermengildo Arotza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Fraco, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After having played for 10 minutes, Prospero Savion managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Toby Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prospero Savion was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Academia Club's goal looked a bit too open when Prospero Savion came free, but Hermengildo Arotza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Toby Futbol Club booed when Academia Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascual Burni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauricio Silbestre hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Matias Felipo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Abajas in the 33rd minute of play. Mauricio Silbestre hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hipolito Elequemedo in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matias Felipo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabian Abajas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Felipo having to interfere. Matias Felipo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hipolito Elequemedo in the 43rd minute. In the 44th match minute, Toby Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Mederi to maneuver through the defense. Tomás Kiliz kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After 47 played minutes Toby Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Silbestre. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Prospero Savion to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Augusto Mederi during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 53 played minutes Toby Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Santo Checa. In the 56th match minute, Academia Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Fero to maneuver through the defense. Prospero Savion struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Hermengildo Arotza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toby Futbol Club. 60 minutes into the match, Hipolito Elequemedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matias Felipo. Toby Futbol Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hipolito Elequemedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Eulalio Jerrald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauricio Silbestre's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Hermengildo Arotza skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 70th play minutes Mauricio Silbestre shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Hermengildo Arotza and just under the crossbar into goal. Arnoldo Fraco hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. When Cipriano Corderun came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Academia Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cipriano Corderun couldn't finish the play. After having played for 85 minutes, Augusto Mederi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Toby Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Mederi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute, Mauricio Silbestre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Academia Club's Hermengildo Arotza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Savion in the 91st minute of play. In the 95th minute, Mauricio Silbestre ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hermengildo Arotza was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The Toby Futbol Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Toby Futbol Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
