With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matias Felipo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in HISPANO FC's zone, Mauricio Silbestre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Landry came out of the goal and Mauricio Silbestre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juan Landry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Silbestre, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Mauricio Silbestre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Toby Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauricio Silbestre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Landry breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With 41 minutes on the clock, Brett Carson commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. If Prospero Savion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sid Marion to make the kick off. In the 70th minute Prospero Savion shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Landry saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prospero Savion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Juan Landry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Toby Futbol Club getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. German Fernanco hit a great ball. When Augusto Mederi fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
